Beekeeping project in Ghana

We have trained 66 students and 25 teachers to become beekeepers in Ghana. We have also purchased protective clothing, materials and hives. Almost every day we have contact with the schools in Ghana about the progress of our beekeeping project.

After winning the Green Ribbon 2017, we received the following message from the Coordinator of our beekeeping project in Ghana:

Hi,

Great to read about the award you recently won, congratulations. Indeed Faunawatch deserves it. The themes cited by the juries for conferring the award to you are indeed touching in the sense that your efforts at educating and creating the awareness on the environment in its totality is indeed helping a lot of the citizenry of especially your project communities and the world wide web audience.

Our association with you in Ada on the Bee-keeping project is worth celebrating because of the immense contribution it is serving especially in the teaching of Bee-keeping as an examinable topic in the senior secondary school- ANIMAL HUSBANDRY subject in all schools offering agriculture science in Ghanaian Schools.

Once again congratulations and may you continuously chalk these success

My warmest regards to the Faunawatch family

Ibrahim.
