Report a turtle

Red-eared slider turtles don’t belong in nature in the Netherlands. They are often abandoned there, but form a threat to the local flora and fauna. Therefore it is important to relocate them to a shelter.

Have you seen a turtle around Maastricht? Please report it to us via this form for free, so that we can relocate the turtle.

Do you have a turtle and aren’t you able to take care of it anymore? Please report it to us as well. In this case we ask for a contribution of 15 euro. Of course it is possible to report it as a “found turtle”, but running a shelter for all these turtles cost a lot of money. This small contribution will help us to feed your turtle for a couple of weeks until we find someone who is willing to adopt the turtle with a monthly donation.
